This is a backcountry hike and you should prepare accordingly. It's also a hike best left for times when there's no snow or ice. Stopped by one of my absolute favorite spots in town tonight. I ordered three pounds of crawfish, it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Wish I could include a picture of the crawfish, but I ate them all before I snapped a pic. Enjoy an unbeatable view of Bohicket Marina and Lowcountry sunsets at Red’s Ice House!

Revolution’s £9 dupe of Charlotte Tilbury’s discontinued £50 palette is selling fast! - The Mirror
Revolution’s £9 dupe of Charlotte Tilbury’s discontinued £50 palette is selling fast!.
I do like Supermodel and hope I have some near enough dupe, if not I’ll forget about it when the next new interesting lipstick appears. Yep, it’s definitely medium-centric, which means that it would work great for me. Well, provided I felt like laying out $75, that is.As for there being only one Nudegasm palette, I also feel that she ought to have offered at least one more version, and had another blush instead of two sculpting shades. Toggle between product photos and swatches of the shades included in this palette/set.
Nudegasm (Super Sculpt)
Nudegasm (Super Sculpt) is a dark brown with warm, reddish undertones and a matte finish. It had mostly opaque, buildable pigmentation paired with a slightly firmer, somewhat stiff consistency. I found it seemed to yield more product readily after a few uses, but it sometimes required some pushing to dislodge powder from the pan's surface, which made it harder to control how much product I picked up each time. Once applied, the powder blended out without too much effort and wore well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably. That pink duochrome shade was unique and ethereal on my skin and I used that palette nonstop for a few months.Alas, this does look too deep and too warm for fair skinned ladies, so I’ll have to pass. I could probably make it work, just to look at that pretty packaging, but not sure I want to work that hard when I have other face palettes that will do the trick perfectly. Pillow Talk is a medium-dark pink with warm undertones and a matte finish. The color was consistent with the standalone version I have of this shade. It had good pigmentation with a soft, lightly waxy texture that applied fairly well to bare skin for all-over color application and was even easier to use strictly as a liner. It stayed on well for over six hours and was non-drying.

She is famous, like Dolly Parton, for sleeping in her makeup. Her eyes sparkle as she speaks with the runaway, chatty energy of a hostess welcoming you to a party. Her outsize personality is lovingly parodied on TikTok, and she’s prone to referencing the stars—both longtime friends like Kate Moss, her children’s godmother, and those twinkling in the cosmos—as well as energy frequencies. Tilbury says, “I don’t want to see invisible women,” so her products make eyes look brighter and complexions more dewy, and are known for creating an intensely glamorous effect.
The Magic of Charlotte Tilbury
If you have a fair to medium skin tone or a cool undertone… Wear SUPER GLOW as your Eye Prime shade all over your eyelid and Face Highlight on the tops of your cheekbones, inner corners of your eyes and tip of your nose. Wear MULTI GLOW in the outer corners and crease of your eyes as your Eye Enhance shade, and apply to the apples of your cheeks in an upward motion for your Cheek Swish shade. The quality is mediocre, especially given the price point.
How to apply
She has normal-to-dry skin with occasional dryness on cheeks and nose. She has a light plus skintone with subtle, warmer yellow undertones (view her foundation matches here). Charlotte Tilbury Medium (4) is a very warm-toned, light gold with a luminous finish. It is a permanent primer that retails for $44.00 and contains 1 oz. Charlotte Tilbury Nudegasm Face Palette Review & Swatches
Charlotte Tilbury Nudegasm Glowgasm Face Palette ($75.00 for 0.52 oz.) includes two shimmery shades and two matte shades; the latter two being designed for contouring/bronzing. The consistency of the two sculpting shades felt thinner and stiffer compared to most gel-powder hybrid formulas, though the other two powders were more yielding and more in line with the dense/slightly stiff (but not in a bad way!) expected from a gel-powder formula. As a standalone highlighter, this shade stayed on well for eight and a half hours.
Difficult to do a precise Cupid’s now because it’s not sharp enough. The color is lighter and more peach/salmon than I thought it would be, it looks a bit chalky on my skin (light-medium with pink undertones). Not quite the holy grail lipliner I was hoping for! But, it serves its purpose and I do wear it from time to time. I agree but to their defense, most of Charlottes palettes are for light to medium skin. Like the two all in one palettes she just released. I can’t wear either one because they are too light and im not even deep toned.
However, it doesn’t make sense to have a shimmery blush when there’s also a highlighter in the palette. Would be much more usable if the blush was matte or natural finish and I could layer the highlighter as required. Cast a sun-kissed glow on the complexion with Charlotte Tilbury Nudegasm Face Palette, a set of four flattering makeup shades designed to highlight, sculpt and contour the features. For the latest information, it is recommended to review the ingredient list printed on the packaging of the product prior to usage or consumption.
Charlotte Tilbury Nudegasm Collection includes a face palette, dual-ended eyeliner, and five lipsticks (one wasn’t available when I made my purchase). The world’s most beguiling makeup artist on beauty, stars, love, and sex. Duplicate a high-end product or never buy the same shade twice. Use the tabs above to view the most recent review or previous reviews.
It leads to people like me getting shades, it’s that powerful. There is not really much I like from this collection – starting from the name; is CT copying NARS in its Orgasm obsession? The only shade here I like is Superfabulous, but I am sure it can be duped. Get starlit skin in seconds with Hollywood Flawless Filter, the customizable complexion booster that’s a primer, highlighter, and luminous mixing medium in one. Like a skin-perfecting digital filter in a bottle, Hollywood Flawless Filter can be used in four different ways to blur imperfections, smooth lines and pores, and illuminate the skin with a dewy, soft-focus glow. In person, Tilbury’s eyes are an electric blue-green that pops, especially when rimmed with her signature thick, elongated violet eyeliner (if you’d like to learn how to make your eye color stand out like hers, you can “Shop by Eye Colour” on the website).

Still, even the oldest Egyptian representations of wildcats are 5,000 to 6,000 years younger than the 9,500-year-old Cypriot burial. Indeed, the Egyptians took the love of cats to a whole new level. The rosette pattern is a fusion of brown, black and white that look like swirling-rose spots. It’s a very rare cat pattern for domestic cats, one you’ve likely only seen on big wild cats like leopards.
California mountain lions (Puma Concolor)
Their belly, the area above their upper lip, lower lip, and chin are all white. Bear in mind, though, that their coat color varies somewhat with geographic location. One of the most noticeable distinctions between these two wild cats is their tails. Catamounts possess long, slender tails that can be as long as their bodies, while bobcats have relatively short tails, usually less than a foot long.
Factors That Affect a House Cat’s Size
Since cats were never bred for specific hunting or herding tasks the way dogs were, their variations are more subtle than, say, the difference between a Rottweiler and a beagle. According to National Geographic, cats first started hanging around human settlements and eating the rodents that threatened our grain stores as early as eight thousand years ago. It wasn't until the nineteenth century, however, that cat fanciers started breeding cats deliberately for a specific appearance or demeanor.
Bobcat (Lynx rufus)
To get a bead on when the taming of the cat began, we turned to the archaeological record. Another, independent foray into cat domestication occurred in China about 5,000 years ago with another wildcat species the leopard cat. Since domestic cats today aren’t related to leopard cats, the harmony doesn’t seem to have lasted. They are intelligent, talkative, and lovely-natured felines, making ideal family pets. There are evidently less cat breeds to choose from than there are dog breeds, but this does not mean that the decision on which one to adopt should be any less thought through.

Their presence in California’s wilderness adds to the intricate balance of the state’s natural environment. In contrast, the bobcat is a smaller, more elusive wild cat that calls California home. With its distinctive tufted ears and spotted coat, the bobcat is a master of stealth and camouflage. Weighing in at around 20 pounds, these solitary hunters are skilled at navigating their wooded and mountainous habitats. Despite common misconceptions, bobcats do indeed have tails, although they are short and stout, adding to their unique appearance.
This fluffy, powerful feline has appeared in European folktales and other texts for hundreds of years. Norse legends describe a “fairy climber”, scaling rock faces like no other cat. Another more genetically plausible origin story involves a terrified Marie Antoinette. Fearing her ultimate demise at the hands of French Revolutionaries, she attempted to travel across the sea with her six favorite Turkish Angora cats.

The Russian Blue cat, like its name, has a unique, striking bluish-grey coat with deep bottle-green eyes. These beautiful cats with grey coats are curious but quiet, elegant but muscular, and are often called the Doberman Pinscher of cats.
While house cats may share some similarities with their wild counterparts, there are also many differences between the two. In fact, some species like the Siberian tiger can weigh over 600 pounds! This size difference can make wild cats less suitable as pets, as they require a lot more space and resources to thrive. House cats come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, with some breeds weighing just a few pounds and others tipping the scales at over 20 pounds. As a cat owner, it’s essential to understand your feline friend’s size, as you’ll need to adjust their food and exercise regimen accordingly.
Archaeologists have found remains of this rodent, which originated in the Indian subcontinent, among the first human stores of wild grain from Israel, which date to around 10,000 years ago. The house mice could not compete well with the local wild mice outside, but by moving into people’s homes and silos, they thrived. There are plenty of reasons why pet owners decide to have indoor cats.
Plus, their super cute little ears are adorable; of course, if you’re into cats with big ears, there are a few breeds to consider too. These cats are well suited to indoor lifestyles, but they still need love, enrichment, and exercise. As agriculture spread out from the Fertile Crescent, so, too, did the tame scions of F. Lybica, filling the same niche in each region they entered—and effectively shutting the door on local wildcat populations. Had domestic cats from the Fertile Crescent never arrived in Africa or Asia, perhaps the indigenous wildcats in those regions would have been drawn to homes and villages as urban civilizations developed there. Like mountain lions, bobcats live a solitary existence most of the time.
This big and beautiful breed originated in the Armenian Highlands of modern-day Turkey. Their primary distinguishing feature is the Van pattern which is named after the breed. This pattern involves color restricted to the head and tail while the body of the cat is white.
It is valued by humans for companionship and its ability to kill vermin. Its retractable claws are adapted to killing small prey like mice and rats. It has a strong, flexible body, quick reflexes, sharp teeth, and its night vision and sense of smell are well developed.
Several studies have shown that feral cats occur in less than 2% of areas where coyotes also occur. Published studies from southern California, however, state that the frequency of co-occurrence of cats and coyotes is closer to 20% in urban areas. Additionally, several studies suggest that the feeding of feral cats may attract coyotes to new areas. Once a management program has been implemented, it is important to monitor the effectiveness of the program. Keep track of direct observation of cat feces or cats during the day.

“These are Siamese breed color variants, and many other breeds have developed from them.” Cats with this kind of fancy fur are likely to be one of the most expensive cat breeds. Fawn is a rare cat color that’s similar to cream, but it’s not exactly the same. It’s considered an uncommon “diluted coat color,” which means it’s a color that’s lighter than usual. Fawn coloring is seen primarily in pedigree or purebred cats that are bred specifically for their coloration. Dr. Butzer says that fawn coloring is caused by the cinnamon genete, which is a gene that makes fur appear lighter. Bobcats live throughout the state, and this includes the north.

When it comes to loving a cat, it doesn't matter how many breeds there are because the best cat for you will have its own unique traits that you can't help but fall for. British Shorthairs don’t tend to be as playful as other cat breeds, but they are very devoted to their families. They require minimal grooming and don’t tend to be overly vocal cats. Whether you have a big cat or a little cat, all domesticated cats can acclimate to the size of their owner's home.
While genetics plays a significant role in determining a cat’s size, there are several other factors that can also have an impact. Abyssinians, for example, weigh in at around 8-10 pounds, while Siamese cats are closer to pounds. American Shorthairs are a bit heavier, weighing in at 9-15 pounds. Medium-sized cats tend to be quite agile and athletic, with plenty of energy to spare. These cats are a great choice for households with lots of activity and playtime. While these small cats may be cute and cuddly, their small stature does come with some potential health complications.

However, about 98% of cats fall outside of the pure-bred category. They are sometimes mistakenly called ‘mixed-breeds’, which is misleading since these cats usually don’t have any pure-bred cats in their family trees at all. More accurately, they can be called domestic shorthairs or domestic longhairs. Choosing a cat is not an easy task, as they are all so cute and fascinating.
It is interesting to note that despite being different than most other cats, these kittens come in a variety of colors and patterns. As agriculture and permanent human settlements spread from the Fertile Crescent to the rest of the world, so, too, did domestic cats. The map shows the earliest putative occurrences of domestic cats in regions around the globe. The wide range of sizes, shapes and temperaments that is observed in dogs—consider the Chihuahua and the Great Dane—is absent in cats. Felines show much less variety because, unlike dogs—which were bred from prehistoric times for such tasks as guarding, hunting and herding—early cats were under no such selective breeding pressures. To enter our homes, they had only to evolve a people-friendly disposition.
The addition of an electric wire to this installation should ensure the exclusion of cats from your yard. It is important to check your municipal codes for regulations concerning fencing heights. Charged electrical wire can be dangerous to children and pets and can be a fire hazard if not installed appropriately. Research has shown that a 30 cm horizontal foot apron is appropriate in keeping cats from digging under. Coyote Rollers may also be effective in keeping cats out of backyards. Proper disposal of cat feces is important to reduce exposure to pathogens.
Although this ensures that the cat will not produce any more litters, this does not negate the public health risks or the conservation issues that surround feral cats’ existence in communities. For example, both house cats and big cats are known for their grooming habits. Cats are notoriously fastidious animals, spending hours each day cleaning themselves and keeping their fur in pristine condition.
One study found that feral cats not fed by people hadsmaller litters and lower kitten survival rate, while feral cats that were fedhad larger litters and higher kitten survival rates. Mountain lions live in a wide variety of habitats and conditions throughout the state. Their natural habitats include both desert and mountain country. Helmut Newton’s striking nude portrait of her remains an iconic image of the 1970s. “I know that the camera loves me,” Rampling once said, and it’s a love that has endured through the decades. In 2003, she flipped her screen persona on its head in Francois Ozon’s Swimming Pool, as a prim, sexually frustrated novelist brought back to dark, glittering life by the presence of her publisher’s wild-child daughter at a French country house.
‘He makes France proud’: why Macron and the French elite still worship Gérard Depardieu
Rampling, who had been a model before she became an actress, was different after it. “It changed my perception of what I could do in films, how I could be in films and how I could carry on making films. "Night Porter" would prove a difficult film to surpass for any actress, but Rampling wisely sidestepped the problem by focusing on films that satisfied her as an actress, rather than those that simply generated more publicity. Rampling also shone in a pivotal role in Sidney Lumet's "The Verdict" (1982) as lawyer Paul Newman's lover, whom defense attorney James Mason hired to keep track of him.

She’s talking not of Barnaby (who directed his mother in his 2012 thriller, I, Anna), but the magician David Jarre, her son from her second marriage, to French musician Jean-Michel Jarre (the couple also brought up Emilie, from Jarre’s first marriage). Rampling and Jarre met at a dinner party in St Tropez in 1976 and separated 20 years later over his infidelity. But the more I read the repeated interrogations of her marriages, the breakdowns, the triumphs, the secret held and finally revealed, the smoldering sexuality, the more annoyed I grew to see this artist’s life turned into a media soap opera which, even if factually presented, I suspected had little to do with the actual woman. ‘‘When I first sit down across from her, I can’t help but worry that Rampling is not coping with anything at all very well,’’ a journalist wrote in 2001, right before going on to express his exasperation at Rampling for being ‘‘stoic’’ about her ex-husband Jean-Michel Jarre’s infidelity. In 2014, a different journalist wondered at how ‘‘closed-off’’ Rampling has ‘‘always been as an actress,’’ speculating that this trait might be connected with having kept her sister’s suicide a secret for 20 years.
The film was shown on CBS television late at night in the early 1970s. It had to be so heavily edited that one executive reportedly joked it should be retitled The Darned, but, technically, it was the first X-rated film to be shown on American network television. “It took five years for the filmmakers to get all that out of me,” Ms. Rampling said the other day. In the film, and again in the interview, she indicated that she’s felt little pressure to give her famously feline, slightly androgynous features an overhaul. Earlier that day, La Légende, as she is known in Paris, where she makes her home, had attended a luncheon for the women who are Oscar nominees. At the time, Ms. Schwartz said, the contretemps had seemed all but forgotten — or, more likely, simply swept under the rug.
From there, Rampling was the superior of a Secret Service agent (Sean Bean) determined to stop a suicide bombing in the taut British thriller "Cleanskin" (2012). She went on to earn critical praise and A SAG award nod for her turn as a mother whose daughter investigates her past as a World War II spy in the made-for-cable movie "Restless" (Sundance Channel, 2012), which was adapted from William Boyd's award-winning novel. As Rampling reached her sixth decade, her career showed no signs of slowing down.

Rampling and Jarre also brought up Émilie, from the composer’s first marriage; her memoir is dedicated to all three. The glamorous couple met at a dinner party in St Tropez in 1976; it was before Jarre found great fame with the album Oxygène, released later that year, which went to No 2 in the UK (and 146 in France). After shattering the bones in one of her legs, she is taken, unwillingly, by her son to the house he shares with her rebellious teenage grandson. ” she asks the Anglican priest who visits her, hoping that she might feel a twitch upon the thread.
Courtney won the Silver Bear for the Best Actor and Rampling the Silver Bear for the Best Actress. This was only one of many awards Rampling has been awarded over her long and illustrious career. Not content with cinema roles, Rampling embraced television with an unerring instinct for quality, starring in the hugely successful British series Broadchurch; the BBC drama London Joy, and as Dr Evelyn Vogel in Dexter, and the ever classic Miss Havisham in Great Expectations (1998). Her most substantive work during this period, however, came in partnership with French director Francois Ozon.
Family & Companions
In Germany in early 1933, the Essenbecks are a wealthy and powerful industrialist family who have, reluctantly, begun doing business with the newly-elected Nazi government. On the night of the birthday of the family's conservative patriarch, Baron Joachim von Essenbeck, a member of the old German nobility who detests the upstart Adolf Hitler, the family's children have prepared performances. Joachim's grandnephew Günther plays a classical piece on his cello, while his grandson Martin performs a drag performance, which is interrupted by news that the Reichstag is burning. Rampling’s trajectory from her early films to the movies she made in her late 50s has been characterized as a transition from merely playing her cold sexy self to learning to act — or being taught how, as one writer absurdly suggested, by the much less experienced Ozon.
She has been seen on the covers of Vogue, Interview and Elle magazines and CRUSHfanzine. In 2009, she posed nude in front of the Mona Lisa for Juergen Teller.[24] In 2009, Rampling appeared in Todd Solondz's Life During Wartime. She appeared in the cult classic Vanishing Point, in a scene deleted from the U.S. theatrical release (included in the U.K. release). Lead actor Barry Newman remarked that the scene was of aid in the allegorical lilt of the film. In 2017, she won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the 74th Venice International Film Festival for Hannah.[6] She received an Honorary César in 2001 and France's Legion of Honour in 2002. She was made an OBE in 2000 for her services to the arts, and received the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award from the European Film Awards.
In 1997, she was a jury member at the 54th Venice International Film Festival. It was David, though, who rang her from Argentina to tell her he was at his aunt’s grave in Buenos Aires, with his cousin, the only son of her elder sister Sarah. I want to be with you.” Rampling tells of the girl with whom she made her stage debut at 14, in Stanmore parish hall, singing French songs in fishnets and raincoats, before they sneaked off after school together to do the same at an audition for a club in Piccadilly. At 21, Sarah left to visit New York, then went on to Acapulco, where she met a rich cattle rancher, and within a week had married him. She won many awards for her performance in "45 Years" - and now she might also get an Oscar.
In 2008, she portrayed Countess Spencer, the mother of Keira Knightley's title character, in The Duchess and played the High Priestess in post-apocalyptic thriller Babylon A.D. In 2002, she recorded an album titled Comme Une Femme, or As A Woman. It is in both French and English, and includes passages that are spoken word as well as selections which Rampling sang.[citation needed]. In February 2006, Rampling was named as the jury president at the 56th Berlin International Film Festival.
In his memoirs, Bogarde specifically cites a long scene showing Friedrich becoming overwhelmed with guilt after murdering Joachim, which was filmed, but cut. During this period, Rampling also suffered from depression, which led to a nervous breakdown in the early 1990s. Therapy helped her emerge from this dark period and, quite possibly, made it possible to deal with the very public fallout from tabloid reports that revealed numerous infidelities committed by her second husband, composer Jean Michel Jarre. The dissolution of their marriage came about in 1997, the same year the Oscar-nominated "The Wings of the Dove" (1997) was released; her most widely-seen film in years, she was cast as Helena Bonham Carter's cautious aunt who was determined her young charge would not follow in the footsteps of her disgraced mother. The worldwide success of "Dove" launched a revival of interest in Rampling, who soon resumed a steady and impressive schedule of quality projects. She was a ravishingly ruined Miss Havisham in the BBC's 1999 adaptation of "Great Expectations," then joined Alan Bates and Gerard Butler in Michael Cacoyannis' 1999 film version of Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard."
Most lines charge $16 at the moment, but it steadily rises each year. If you prefer to pay for tips once you're on board your cruise, you'll generally find that the gratuities automatically appear on your bill. The big advantage to paying cruise tips in advance is that you lock in the current rate. If your line raises the rate between the time you pay and the time you sail, you won't pay more.

This will allow you to add an appropriate gratuity AND avoid double tipping. When planning for your next adventure on the high seas, leave an opening in your budget for cruise gratuities. This is an expense that many travelers overlook when tallying the cost of a voyage. Yet, it can add hundreds of dollars to the final numbers and falls into the category of an important item for most passengers. Many cruise passengers from Britain and a few European countries where tipping isn’t a common practice, prefer to have the automatically-added tips removed from their account.

Explained: What Exactly Are Cruise Ship Gratuities
Some passengers just choose to tip extra to feel like they’re getting priority service, but in reality, I rarely see anyone get served ahead of another customer because they’re tippers. Passengers, especially those from the United States equate bar service with tipping. Therefore, it’s not uncommon to see bartenders getting tipped frequently on a cruise. Virgin Voyages actually includes gratuities in their advertised cruise fares!
Should you tip a room steward / cabin attendant?
MSC Cruises charges a little more for Grand Voyages depending on the itinerary, it’s best to confirm this with them at the time of booking. Bringing extra cash to tip crew members is completely optional, though! You'll still have a fantastic vacation even if you don't carry around a few extra dollars. Gratuities for South Africa cruises are $10 per guest 12 and older per night and $5 per guest, per night between the ages of 2-11. No need to worry about setting money aside to cover gratuities.
The amount can depend upon size, weight and amount of luggage. Be aware that when you sign the receipt there will be another line for an additional tip. Unless you are feeling generous, there’s no need to tip more. From the passenger perspective, the gratuity amount is simple — pay a set amount per person, per day, and be done.
How To Book A Cruise For The First Time
Passengers who opt for Royal Caribbean's flexible My Time Dining must prepay gratuities. Guidelines are the same for all passengers, regardless of age. Tips can either be prepaid up to three days prior to the start of your Disney cruise or will be automatically charged to onboard accounts. To adjust the amount of your automatic tips or to tip independently, see the purser's office. Meanwhile, cruise fares are often shown as dirt-cheap prices.
If the fee is required and cannot be adjusted downward, it is a true service charge and is no different than a port charge. Most cruise lines add the recommended service charge to your account, and you can adjust it if you think necessary. An exception is Costa Cruises, which considers the service charge integral to the cruise fare, and does not allow adjustments. Should you wish to adjust NCL's service charges, you must contact the onboard reception desk. A 20% gratuity is added to bar bills, specialty and entertainment dining, and spa services.

Most mainstream cruise lines have their headquarters in the US. So they follow this model with many of their crew members who perform services for passengers. Tipped crew on many cruise lines include housekeeping, dining, and laundry workers. Unlike the U.S., cruise lines do not have to pay a minimum wage but instead pay their crew members a salary often supplemented with tips, plus free room, board, and medical care.
The comfort of your own cabin, endless buffets, and exciting excursions. It may not be the most glamorous aspect of cruising, but it’s an important one, particularly to the crew. So, if it is unclear, it is acceptable to ask if and which tips have been automatically charged to your bill.
Holland America gratuities are automatically charged at $17 per person, per day for regular cabin passengers and $19 for suite passengers. Passengers should visit guest services to adjust these if they want. An automatic 18% gratuity is added to beverage packages, specialty dining, spa services, bar packages and main dining room wine purchases. New cruisers need to realize that most cruise lines do not pay their service staff a living wage, and tips or service charges make up most of their compensation. In order to keep the advertised price down, passengers are expected to subsidize the service staff through these added service charges or tips. Most, if not all, major cruise lines impose automatic gratuities now.
Look for a tip jar at the front of the bus or van; if you are on an extended tour with other shipmates, passing around an envelope to collect tips may be in order. Having several small bills is very handy, especially for early morning breakfast delivery. $2.00 to $5.00 is appropriate, depending on the food or how many meals ordered. If you’ve never cruised, then there is no doubt that these questions and more might be floating through your head. To help explain everything about cruise line gratuities, we’ve answered a number of common questions that will make everything clearer before you set sail.
“Alternative services” refer to positions that enhance your cruise but aren’t covered by the automatic daily service charge. The crew members who are most visible to passengers are usually those that receive the majority of tips, such as cabin stewards, waiters, and assistant waiters. However, there are many other crew members working behind the scenes who also receive a portion of the daily gratuities. These include kitchen staff, laundry attendants, and maintenance workers. Some of these gratuities are automatically added to your cruise cost prior to the trip, while others are automatically charged to your onboard account at the time of service.
